Hi there, I’m Sara. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and I hold a Master of Education in Counseling from Sul Ross State University. I also have a double-major in Psychology and Family & Child Sciences from Florida State University. Since 2012, I have been supporting individuals, children, and families through crisis intervention, trauma work, and therapy in both clinical and community settings.

I’m certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), and I use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that may also include CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and other modalities depending on your needs. I focus on connecting with who you are, not just the diagnosis.

Ive been living and working in beautiful British Columbia since 2021. I’m originally from Miami, Florida and have lived in a number of U.S. states before settling here in Canada, which I now proudly call home. Outside of work, I love hiking, kayaking, yoga, the gym, and writing children’s books. I’m also the host of Invisible Cape Parenting, a podcast for single parents that launched in 2024.
